From the moment you arrive in Lima, a member of our team will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to your hotel in the city center using our private transportation service. You’ll have the rest of the day to relax and prepare for the adventures ahead in your Peru vacation package!

Breakfast at the hotel.
In the morning, enjoy a guided tour of the city of Lima, experiencing its three historical periods: pre-Hispanic, colonial, and modern.
You’ll see a panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana, a magnificent ceremonial and archaeological center built in the 4th century AD, considered a “sacred village” by the Incas.
Then, explore the Historic Center of Lima, with over 50 monuments and colonial buildings, including the Paseo de la República, Plaza San Martín, Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, Archbishop’s Palace, Basilica Cathedral, and the Municipal Palace.
Visit the Monumental Complex of San Francisco, the most significant display of colonial religious art in the Americas. The tour includes the underground catacombs, a fascinating and eerie experience.
To finish, explore modern Lima’s traditional residential districts: San Isidro’s Olive Grove, Miraflores, and the coastal shopping center of Larcomar.

After breakfast, a Peru Inkas Top representative will pick you up from your hotel in Lima (time to be confirmed) and transfer you to the airport for your flight to Arequipa.
Upon arrival in Arequipa, our team will welcome you and take you to your hotel. At the hotel, you’ll be offered complimentary coca and muña tea — traditional natural drinks to help you acclimate to the altitude of the "White City."
Your guided cultural tour of Arequipa will begin by exploring its colonial streets, cathedrals, churches, and monasteries. Your local guide will share insights into Arequipa’s past, from pre-Columbian times to the Spanish colonial period and beyond.
You’ll visit landmarks such as the Basilica Cathedral of Arequipa, located on the stunning Plaza de Armas. The cathedral has been repeatedly rebuilt after earthquakes, becoming more magnificent with each restoration.
Next, head to the famous Yanahuara Viewpoint. This 19th-century lookout features arches carved from white volcanic stone (sillar) and offers panoramic views of the city and surrounding volcanoes — Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu. Nearby, admire the baroque-style Church of San Juan de Yanahuara, built in 1750.
After the tour, return to your hotel, now with a deeper appreciation for this beautiful colonial gem of southern Peru.

Today, your journey through Peru begins early in the morning as we leave the White City of Arequipa and take the scenic route toward the Colca Valley. This beautiful drive passes snow-capped volcanoes, rugged plains, traditional terraced farms, and charming villages where ancient lifestyles are still preserved.
Along the way, we’ll stop at the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, home to countless guanacos, alpacas, and vicuñas grazing in the wild. Although we won’t visit a llama or alpaca farm, you’ll see these animals in their natural habitat. This 366,936-hectare reserve was created to protect local flora, fauna, and the endangered vicuña population through repopulation programs.
In addition to large herds of camelids, the reserve is home to the Southern vizcacha (a large, adorable rodent), foxes, condors, and Andean flamingos (parihuanas). In total, 169 animal species have been identified here, including 23 mammals and 138 bird species such as blue-billed ducks, eagles, and kestrels. Migrating flamingos also stop at Salinas Lake, making this an excellent site for birdwatching and ecotourism tours in Peru.
We continue skirting the Chucura Volcano until reaching the Patapampa Andean Viewpoint at 4,900 meters above sea level. From here, we’ll enjoy panoramic views of the snow-covered peaks and volcanoes of the Arequipa region, including Hualca Calca, Sabancaya, and Ampato.
Our cultural journey then takes us to Chivay, the gateway to the Colca Valley. The traditional terrace systems here, built by indigenous communities, are impressive in both scale and craftsmanship. Founded during Spanish colonization, Chivay features colonial architecture and a picturesque church. You’ll enjoy a traditional lunch before checking into your hotel.
In the afternoon, you’re free to explore the town or join optional trekking excursions in the canyon. You may also choose to visit La Calera hot springs, located about 3 km from Chivay. These natural thermal baths, fueled by the region’s seismic activity, offer healing waters at temperatures around 38°C (98°F).

It’s another early start on our journey through Peru—there’s so much to see! First, we head to the famous Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint near the quaint villages of Maca and Cabanaconde. Strong canyon winds rise here, creating ideal conditions for Andean condors to soar. These majestic birds, often flying in pairs, can be seen gliding on thermal updrafts, especially in the morning and late afternoon. With wingspans of up to three meters, the condors often come remarkably close to the viewpoint, offering unforgettable views.
From this lookout, you’ll also enjoy stunning panoramas of the Colca Canyon below—one of the deepest canyons in the world.
Around 1:00 PM, you will begin the journey toward Puno, the capital of Peruvian folklore. Along the way, you’ll make a short stop at Patapampa (4,900 m.a.s.l.), the highest point of your Peru travels so far. From this mountaintop, nature will unfold before you, with striking views of the volcanoes Sabancaya, Ampato, Misti, and Chachani in the west. You’ll also see a traditional pile of stones left by travelers and pilgrims over the centuries—a local custom to request safe and pleasant travels through the Andes.
You’ll arrive in Puno around 6:00 PM. Our team will help you check in at your hotel, where you can enjoy a well-deserved rest on the shores of Lake Titicaca.

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before beginning today’s unforgettable excursion to Lake Titicaca. Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the port to board a motorboat bound for the floating islands of the Uros people, located at 3,810 m.a.s.l. in the bay of Puno. These fascinating islands are constructed entirely from totora reeds and date back to pre-Hispanic times.
After exploring the Uros Islands, you will continue to Taquile Island, known for its friendly inhabitants who maintain traditional customs and colorful attire. The islanders are renowned for their intricate, symbolic textiles, which reflect ancient Andean traditions and beliefs. These handwoven works of art are even recognized by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
Later in the afternoon, you will return to Puno and be transferred back to your hotel to relax and reflect on the rich culture and history of the day’s adventure.

You’ll be picked up from your hotel around 7:00 AM for the journey from Puno to Cusco. This is no ordinary bus ride—it’s a full-day cultural experience with stops at four fascinating sites along the route:
- Pukara: The most important and ancient ceremonial center of the Altiplano, featuring intricate sculptures and burial sites.
- La Raya: The highest point between Cusco and Puno (4,335 m.a.s.l.) and the geographical border between the Quechua and Aymara cultures. The scenery is breathtaking, and it's common to see llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas along the way.
- Raqchi (Temple of Wiracocha): An immense Inca structure, 100 meters long, 26 meters wide, and 14 meters high, with two naves and eleven colossal columns in each—truly impressive.
- Andahuaylillas: Known as the "Sistine Chapel of the Andes," this colonial-era church is one of the most stunning examples of Andean religious art.
You’ll arrive in Cusco around 5:00 PM. Our staff will welcome you at the bus terminal and transfer you to your selected hotel, where you’ll spend the night in the heart of the former Inca Empire.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, a member of our team will welcome you and escort you to your hotel.
At around 09:00 AM, begin your half-day guided city tour. You’ll start with a visit to the majestic Cathedral of Cusco, followed by the Qoricancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun, now the Convent of Santo Domingo. These sites represent a fascinating blend of Inca and Spanish colonial architecture.
The tour continues to the outskirts of the city to visit four key archaeological sites:
- Sacsayhuamán: An immense fortress and ceremonial site shaped like the head of a puma.
- Q’enqo: A spiritual site with carved rock formations and subterranean altars used for worship.
- Puca Pucara: A reddish military outpost that controlled access to the Sacred Valley.
- Tambomachay: Known as the "Temple of Water," it features aqueducts and ceremonial baths.
After this journey through history and Inca ingenuity, return to your hotel in Cusco to relax and enjoy the evening at leisure.

After breakfast at the hotel, around 8:30 AM you’ll be picked up for a full-day excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
The journey begins with a visit to the town of Pisac, known for its vibrant handicraft market and impressive archaeological complex. You'll explore its terraced hillsides, ancient irrigation systems, astronomical observatories, and ceremonial structures like the Intiwatana (Sun Dial).
Enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant before continuing on to Ollantaytambo, one of the best-preserved Inca settlements. This site served as a religious, residential, and military center, with its massive terraces, sun temple, and fortified walls offering deep insight into Inca engineering and spirituality.
At the end of the tour, you'll board the train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu. Overnight stay at a hotel in Aguas Calientes, in preparation for tomorrow’s visit to the world-famous citadel.

After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll take an early morning bus to the entrance of Machu Picchu, the iconic “Lost City of the Incas.” Perched high above the Urubamba River, this 15th-century citadel is one of the most breathtaking archaeological sites in the world.
Discovered by the outside world in 1911 by historian Hiram Bingham, Machu Picchu had already been known to locals for centuries. Despite much speculation, the true purpose of this marvel remains a mystery, as the Incas left no written records.
With your expert local guide, explore the stunning stone structures, ceremonial areas, temples, and terraces of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Let your imagination transport you to life in the Inca Empire as you walk through these sacred ruins, located around 2,430 meters (8,000 feet) above sea level.
After the tour, return by bus to Aguas Calientes, then board the train back to Cusco. Upon arrival, you'll be picked up and transferred to your hotel to rest and reflect on this unforgettable day.

After breakfast, you will be picked up at the scheduled time for your transfer from the hotel to Cusco airport for your return flight to Lima.
This marks the end of your 11-day journey through Peru, including the magnificent Machu Picchu and many other unforgettable experiences along the way. It’s truly amazing how much you can discover in an 11-day itinerary across this diverse and historic country!
